Litton to sign CDs at WRR Classical 101.1 FM Rachmaninov release party in Dallas
Dallas Symphony Orchestra Music Director Andrew Litton will join WRR Classical 101.1 FM at a CD release party for the DSO's internationally acclaimed new CD, Rachmaninov Piano Concertos and Paganini on a Theme of Rhapsody.
The "Rach" party will be at Dallas Piano Warehouse's NorthPark Center location (2nd level near Neiman Marcus) beginning at noon Friday. During the "Rach" party, the CD will be available at the introductory price of $24.99 (more than $10 under retail).
Maestro Litton will sign copies of the CD from noon-1 p.m. WRR on-air personalities will be on site until 3 p.m., and DSO staff will have CDs available for purchase until 4 p.m. Partygoers also will have the opportunity to hear the exhilarating CD on an audiophile sound system courtesy of Audio Concepts, and enjoy coffee and chocolates from Godiva.
Critics around the world hail the CD as the definitive recordings of Rachmaninov's Piano Concertos and Paganini Rhapsody. Andrew Litton leads the Dallas Symphony in a collaboration with renowned pianist Stephen Hough recorded at the Meyerson in a stunning two CD set on the esteemed Hyperion label.
