Litton named Knight in Royal Norwegian Order of Merit
Bergen, Norway. The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra announces with great pride and pleasure that by order of His Majesty King Harald VI of Norway, Bergen Philharmonic Music Director Andrew Litton has been named a Knight in the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit. The Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, founded by King Olav V in 1985, is conferred on foreign and Norwegian nationals as a reward for their outstanding service in the interest of Norway.
