North Shore Chamber Music Festival: June 5, 7, and 8, 2013

April 25, 2013 – Northbrook, Illinois – With two successful and much talked about seasons now to its credit, the North Shore Chamber Music Festival, in Northbrook, Illinois, is making its mark an "inspired summer event not to be missed" for Chicagoans and travelers alike.

The creation of acclaimed violinist Vadim Gluzman, and his wife, concert pianist Angela Yoffe (Northbook residents), the annual festival boasts a prestigious roster of classical music’s top performers, all old friends, who come together for three sensational days of music making.

A special attraction this year is an exclusive appearance by Andrew Litton, one of the world’s leading orchestral conductors, who will perform a jazz tribute to Oscar Peterson at the piano, and join in Brahms’ grandiose Piano Quartet in G minor.

"Mr. Litton conducts some of the greatest orchestras around the globe and hearing him as a pianist is an extraordinarily rare opportunity for us all," says Gluzman. Litton and Gluzman often perform symphony concerts together and were recently called a "match made in musical heaven" by the Portsmouth News in the United Kingdom.

North Shore Chamber Music Festival distinguishes itself among regional summer festivals by presenting artists of high artistic caliber in a relaxed and intimate setting, and at a very reasonable cost. The inviting Village Presbyterian Church is a perfect space in which to realize the festival's goal of engaging, and enrapturing, audiences by putting them as close as possible to the musicians and the act of music-making.

All events will be held at the Village Presbyterian Church, 1300 Shermer Road, Northbrook, Ilinois, only 2 minutes from Chicago's Northbrook Metro station.
